    Hi,

I tried a restore from Google Drive with a fresh WordPress install. I get these errors:

     Warning:

Attempts by the browser to access some pages have returned a “not found (404)” error. This could mean that your .htaccess file has incorrect contents, is missing, or that your webserver is missing an equivalent mechanism.

    Missing pages

I wish I could insert screenshots here. Makes it a lot easier.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

etrieving (if necessary) and preparing backup files…

The backup archive files have been processed, but with some warnings. If all is well, then now press Restore again to proceed. Otherwise, cancel and correct any problems first.Backup of: https://eko4life.com (version: 6.2.2)

     Warnings:

    • This backup set was not known by UpdraftPlus to be created by the current WordPress installation, but was either found in remote storage, or was sent from a remote site. You should make sure that this really is a backup set intended for use on this website, before you restore (rather than a backup set of an unrelated website).

If you do not want to restore all your database tables, then choose some to exclude here.()

It restored everything except ALL my Posts and Pages!!! Can someone please help?

    Hi,

Can you please send us a copy of the restoration log?

You can find these logs in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of the site via FTP.

You can also restore your site manually. We have a step-by-step guide here – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/i-want-to-restore-but-have-either-cannot-or-have-failed-to-do-so-from-the-wp-admin-console/

    Best Wishes,

Thanks for the reply. Thank God my host provider pointed me to a backup that was made after the transfer of my domain (I didn’t have backups enabled, but one was made by the host provider), otherwise 6 months work was gone or at least several days down time. No matter what I did, all my posts and pages weren’t restored when using Updraftplus. It definitely let me down and I’ll go out and search for an alternative plugin.

    Hi,

Apologies for the difficulties you have been experiencing, would you be able to send me a copy of your restoration log from the wp-content/updraft directory of your site so I can see what has happened.

I have many, but there are none from yesterday:

Damn, if I want to insert an image I can only do that from URL.

They are all from 15 days ago except one from 11 days ago.

Unfortunately this is the only way in WP forums.

Without seeing your logs and the restoration it’s really difficult to pinpoint the cause of the issue. If you had a backup of your DB we would have been able to get your posts back for you, (we shouldn’t have to do this, the plugin should do this automatically for you)

I apologise for the difficulties you have been having. I would also recommend you have a minimum of two backups and that you regularly try to restore your backup. This will allow you to pre-empt any restoration issues before they happen (I would advise this for any backup plugin, not just UpdraftPlus)

I am glad that you have managed to restore your site and I hope that you stay with us. If you do stay with us, do a backup with UpdraftPlus and restore it. If you experience any issues at all get in touch so we can help you have a smooth restoration should you need to do this again.

If you need us, just get in touch.
