• Looked promising. But after 3 days of usage our ‘free’ subscription ended up costing 300 dollars per month. We do not care paying for software, but do not advertise the service as free. Prices explode. We went from free, to 30 dollars, 80 dollars and ended up with 300 dollars. Within 3 days! That’s a shitty way to generate revenue. Why not come up with a price instantly. Now it’s a upgrade model. And the model keeps upgrading… Be aware, even small sites like ours, can prove to be very expensive to be translated.

Performance (site speed) went down as well.

    Hi,
Weglot Support here, we hope you are having a great day.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write a review.
It seems that your experience with our product can be improved, and we’d be glad to help you, the best we can, improve your experience with our product.

Note that Weglot generates a translation every time it meets new content, that’s why it’s able to translate your whole website in a few seconds/minutes.
Weglot matches a translation with specific original content. Knowing this, when you’re editing your original content, Weglot doesn’t find the matching translation and so creates another translation to match this new content.

    • In this case, Weglot offers the option to detect potential inactive translations.
If a translation has not been seen for a specific time, Weglot can flag the translation as “potentially inactive”.
In this case, you’ll be able to remove those “potentially inactive” translations if you judge them as currently inactive.
I’m pleased to send you the documentation about how to find and remove potentially inactive translations.
      https://support.weglot.com/article/288-how-can-i-remove-inactive-translations
    • Be aware that Weglot also proposes options to exclude content from the translation as you can see by following the link below.
      https://support.weglot.com/article/95-how-to-exclude-urls-blocks-words-from-translation
    • Finally, Weglot proposes an option to suggest potential translations that can be merged in order to help you save translation credits, as you can see by following the link below.
      https://support.weglot.com/article/302-how-can-i-add-variables-to-my-translations

All these features can help you maintain the plan you want to keep with Weglot.
I’d be really glad to help you further.

This sounds all very nice. But I haven’t received any reaction about my email of 4 days ago. I would advice less talking publicly and more action behind the scenes.
