Not GDPR Compliant because of auto-saving, without consent

  • Hi there!

    Interesting plugin, however I′m pretty sure the use of it makes the website not GDPR compliant. I don′t think it is GDPR auto-saving customer data, such as email, without the explicit knowledge and consent of the visitor / customer.

    Would love to know what′s your opinion in this regards,

    Thanks for your interest and question. In terms of GDPR, CartBounty works similarly to how Shopify does. There is no need for an explicit or additional checkbox or double opt-in emails as abandoned cart reminder emails are considered to be Transactional emails.
