• One of the Diagnostics is failing “Checking if WordPress can make requests to itself from”. I’m assuming this is why no files are being generated. I’m not able to cancel the process either (not sure if this is an issue either).

The issue I’m running into is that the current site is a hacked site that we are trying to repair and I’m working locally. Is there anyway around this? The current hacked site is a suspended account and we’d like to get the site fixed before putting it “live” again.

  • Hi altosheather,

Yes, if WordPress can’t make requests to itself then Simply Static will fail. And, presently, that’ll make it so you’re unable to cancel the process either. It doesn’t handle that failure case terribly well yet.

Does the WordPress site have some sort of restricted access in place, e.g. by ip address or basic auth (username/password)?

    Best,
    Scott

    Hi Scott
    I am using Wamp64 server.
I had it working but now it fails.
Tried to save to zip – the archive is invalid
tried to save to directory – the directory stay empty…
    Please help

    In diagnostics I see:
“Received a 301 response. This might indicate a problem.”

OK – all working ok by ticking off the: ‘Delete temporary files at the end of the job’ in the advanced settings.
Hope it will help others too
