Not getting any new orders – way to check for errors?
-
So, I started to populate my store in November, and with the help of lots of SEO and some Google shopping listings, started getting orders in very early January, at the rate of about one a day….I’m hoping for more, but it’s been steady up until 3/23. That was (coincidentally) the day that I hired a consultant from the Far East to help me optimize the site for better speed.
As far as I’m aware, he only did the following:
1. Optimized some images
2. Installed the Speed Booster Pack plugin
3. Tweaked settings for WP Super Cache plugin, which I’d installed a week or so earlier. As far as I know, the site is working, I’ve done a few tests with credit cards and paypal and a BUNCH of tests with “Check payment” enabled, including friends who had never visited the site before. No one got any errors and I received the orders. I’m just worried/concerned and was wondering how to might check to see if any visitors were unable to get through the checkout process for some reason. I’m losing money!! Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but I just can’t believe how suddenly the orders dried up, even though I’m paying Google for the same number of shopping clicks every day and my prices are very competitive. Thanks.
