Could it be getting blocked because it is generated from a form on https://www.komlosssylaw.com and is being sent to an email with that same suffix @komlossylaw.com?

It could be only when your host or mail provider blocks it.

Have you checked your mailer-side issues? I mean spam filtering or other mailer side settings often cause this kind of trouble. Try using another mailer if possible.

Yes, I have brought it to attention of my mail provider and there doesn’t seem to be anything blocking it. We looked at spam assassin and the mail server log, and there is no indication that something tried to come in. Plus there are no spam filters set either. It is a brand new email account. My client really needs the emails generated from your form to go to their company email accounts.

I’ve been troubleshooting this all day. I even created a CC: so that it would go to another email account, when testing. It did go to the 2nd email account, but not [email protected]. I also removed certain language in the body of the email (e.g., This email was sent from Komlossy Law P.A. https://www.komlossylaw.com) thinking that is what is making server reject it, but still nothing.

I hate to switch to another Contact Form because I really like yours, but before I do, is there anything else I can test or check? Thanks in advance for your help.

It’s bypassing your host’s mail server, isnt it?

I’m having a similar problem, but I get the red box. If I try any other email address (even an email alias to the same mailbox) it goes out fine so Spam Filter is not the problem. The only thing I can see is that the domain name of the email site is the same as the domain name of the email address being sent to

Error-> “Sorry, your message was not sent. Please try later, or contact us by phone or email.”

Yes, exactly. I’m wondering if it has to do with the fact that the domain name of the website and the extension of the email are the same. The only difference on mine is that it shows it was sent successfully. I do not get your Error in the red box.

Takayuki Miyoshi, Sorry, I missed your question. Yes, it looks like it isn’t even making it to the mail server. I didn’t see anything in the log.

I mean your mail may be sent through another server, so you don’t see anything in the log of host’s server.

This is my issue, too, but I’ll add that I have autorespond set up (i.e., Mail(2)) and that works. In other words, when I fill out the form with a sender’s info and click on “send,” the sender immediately receives an autoresponse indicating that the form info was received, but I never receive the actual form info at my email.

I noticed in another inquiry that someone else with the problem mentioned email through Google Apps. I’ve tried sending to separate Google Apps email addresses on different serves as well as a straight Gmail account. None of the three received the form info email.

(Also, it’s not going into spam.)

Are any of you guys (pixlaw or TKOep)using register4less.com as your mail server? I’m trying to zero in and isolate problem.

I was able to figure out my problem, I use bluehost.com.

I had to setup email accounts that I was using to send From the forms on bluehost email account section (even though my email was hosted at another email server), enable WP-MAIL-SMTP and use the new email account that was setup to send email out properly. After doing this everything start working for me and no errors.
