@postman SMTP, I’ve installed the plugin but can’t get past section 2. The default is pulling up my email as webmaster, which would be fine. But won’t move forward.

You helped on another thread and were going to guide me through getting you the Diagnostics to you to find out which other plugin is being a brat. I’m using a simple clean child theme of twentytwelve so my themes have never interfered.

thanks for the help, would not have known.

Hi Jeff! Sorry you’re having problem with the plugin.

In the Postman settings menu, there is a link that says Diagnostic Info. Would you please click that and post the data here.

Also, when the screen won’t move forward in step 2, is it possible for you to post any Javascript errors here that you see?

For example, I use Safari on Mac, and to see the Javascript errors on a webpage I would choose Develop -> Show Error Console from the Safari menu.

I fixed a couple Javascript errors that, depending on what other plugins you have installed, may create Javascript conflicts. Please install Postman SMTP v1.6.5.

I found the culprit plugin and was able to complete the process and just verify now that they are receiving them. I can’t thank you enough for your help.

Oh, fantastic!! Which plugin caused the conflict?

But it seems that it only affected the set-up process because I activated it and then tested the form and it’s working, which is good because the client liked the plugin.

That sounds right. It’s only Postman’s setup that interacts with the user and relies heavily on Javascript. Sending mail is handled under the covers by pure PHP code, where there is less potential for interference.

Too bad it’s CodeCanyon… I won’t be able to download and reproduce, and then chew out the other author for their lazy code ??
