Not Getting Notifications for Donations

    Our museum’s Treasurer just told me at a meeting tonight that $115 has come through the PayPal account for donations. The only PayPal thing we gave is for GiveWP. I am on the dashboard of our website every day and never got any notification.

    Other plug-ins will have a little number next to them when there is something that needs to be looked at (in WooCommerce for example, the little number next to WooCommerce will tell me how many open Gift Shop orders need processing).

    Is there a setting I missed to turn those on? I need some sort of notification on the dashboard to tell me when donations come in.

    Hey @wtnhistwebmaster!

    First, apologies for the abysmal turnaround on this reply. That’s unacceptably long.

    You can configure emails to be sent to you when a donation comes in. There’s not a setting for a notification within the dashboard, but by configuring the email to go to you, you can be notified that way.

    Thank you. There is one other thing that isn’t posting correctly. On the “All Forms” tab, our Donation Form currently lists ‘3 donations, Revenue $20.’ Yesterday it said ‘6 donations, Revenue $245.’

    Why does it keep changing? On the “Donations” they are listed correctly, but not on the “All Forms” tab.

    Hi, @wtnhistwebmaster.

    It could be caching on your stats. When it’s time to refresh the totals for your forms, just head over to the ‘Donations’ section, then click on ‘Tools,’ followed by ‘Data,’ and finally, select ‘Recount Stats.’ Once you’re there, you’ll find a variety of options to recalculate the data on your site. If I were in your position, I’d go ahead and run all of them.
