• First, about the plugin. The basic idea is it automatically generates internal links in your posts, providing more internal referencing (and I think in theory, greater SEO advantages). The problem with the free version is that the links generated completely random. After running this plugin, I noticed my posts were modified with linked words seemingly at random. At best this does no good for visitors and is confusing, and at worst this will be viewed as black hat SEO practices. Whatever the case, it’s not good.

Now in theory, this plugin is interesting (hence, the two stars). If there were a way to automatically generate links to *relevant* posts, then this could be a terribly helpful plugin.

Alas, the failure of this plugin to provide a helpful web site experience is compounded by the fish-like smell coming from its horde of 5-star reviews. You might notice, like I did, a theme that emerges in these reviews: pretty short, the reviewers have one review to their names, and the reviewers’ WordPress accounts were created around the same time.

This tells me enough. Run away from this plugin before it’s too late.

    Hello phidippides,

In the basic and in generally you have not understood how you can use our free Content internal linking plugin.
On internal linking description page of the plugin you can read about linking:

    • for one category
    • If you applied the plugin inside particular category – you will got relevancy by yourself, because in the same category (in normal case) you have posts with the same relevancy.

    • for one text
    • If you have all texts within same thematically direction (the whole site) – you will also need internal linking.

Since you want customize linking OR if you want to get all other possible combinations about internal linking – you need to get PRO plugin version.

As I see you use internal linking plugin completely wrong, as a result you will not get a positive effect.
Also is important to know, that SEO Post Content Links plugin does NOT modified your posts! The plugin creates cache above you existed content and works with the cache.
You do not understand what you are doing.
I would recommend you to contact our support for SEO consultations and additional assistance.

We will kindly help you to understand SEO and correct use of our plugin.

    Best Regards,
    SEO Content Links Support Team
