• Te plugins confuse the users, this plugin allows to configure next day payments for credit cards in the control panel but the real liquidation to your account is 5 business days, so this converts in 7-8 total days including weekends. This is, in general, not good for the e-commerce dynamics where transactions and deliveries customers need are the quickest as possible.
In our case, we move to other payments gateways that are more expensive but really pay next day while in the meantime we are talking with the bank to install their gateway in our e-commerce that is more economic and pays the next days.

    Hello Allgrass,

Thank you for your feedback. It seems that your review is for the Mollie service itself, and not specifically for this plugin. So I took the time to contact Mollie and ask about this.

It seems you experienced a delay in getting payments by credit card into your bank account. Mollie explained that credit card payments indeed have a delay of at least 5 days (in the worst case this can be 8 days) before they can be transferred to your bank account. They will be visible in your Mollie account immediately, and the status for the order will be updated within minutes. It’s just the transfer from Mollie to your bank account that takes longer.

There are a few reasons for this:
    – Mollie get’s the funds that your customers pay from the credit card companies, but most credit card companies don’t wire them instantly, so there is already a delay. Mollie knows that the payment is succesfull very fast, but doesn’t get the actual money immediately.
    – Mollie would like to solve this by pre-financing the payments (and paying you out immediately) but this is not allowed by the same credit card companies.
    – To make sure you do not get immediate charge backs when there is fraud, but in your case I don’t think this was the issue.

This article explains payout’s in detail:

If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know and I will sort it out for you.

I’m sorry that this has caused you inconvenience. I understand that for some businesses it’s essential to get funds into a bank account as soon as possible. Mollie is constantly trying to negotiate better terms with it’s partners (credit card companies etc), so this can continue to improve.

    Kind regards
    David

Hello Dave, thanks for the time to answer this review.

As I understand the plugin works for the payment gateway. The issue here is NOT for the delay or the policies the manage, the issue here is for the info-content Mollie-Plugin gives to the users. This info is easy to get confused and could provoke waits of time and or customers loses.

When a user (ecommerce owner – manager) select credit card payments and liquidation next days in Mollie, it′s not literally true. It must say in that button selection something like “minimum 5 days” or “1 week” not try to play with the users “mind” putting that expression and below a link that “explain” that next day for that specific payment signify the next 5 days in the best scenario; if the payment is on Tuesday it takes up to 8 days!!

I personally don′t like this kind of “not at all transparency content” in services suppliers.

Finally, I decide to go ahead with other payments gateways suppliers that handle credit card better, someone a little expensive and another one with a much better price, both of them make liquidations of credit cards payments next days literally.

I invite you and Mollie to review the control panel info and update this issue, I′m sure you′ll get better results, better reviews and gain more credibility in the future.

Do you mean the “Thank you”-page after payment? Or otherwise could you explain what information on what page you are referring to so I can investigate?

When a user (ecommerce owner – manager) select credit card payments and liquidation next days in Mollie, it′s not literally true. If I read this, then I do think you are referring to the Mollie Dashboard (and your later comment seems to confirm that). That is where you can set when you want to receive your funds.

    I’ll pass your feedback on!

    Kind regards

    Hi @allgrass

I just checked, and it is actually explained right in the dashboard! And the link goes to the article I mentioned earlier.

Hello Dave, for me is still confused, I made my opinion based on my experience as a user, I don′t see correct the way is showing the dashboard frequency payments and how is established adding a link to explain that, for me should be in the same screen below each selection… which payment is allowed for next days, which payment is allowed for 2x week and so….
