Plugin was working like a charm until today. I have several roles established on my website. Only Admin has full access to the dashboard. Authors have limited access: Add Events, Add Post, Add media, Edit their Profile. However, now, even after deactivating certain functions for the authors, they still appear on the authors dashboard menu: FAQ, Job offers, Members, Partners, Portfolio, Price Tables, etc. etc. These were not previously visible. And every time I deactivate these functions, update the changes, and return to the page, they have all cleared out.

    Please help. Thanks!

Do you have this problems on the Dashboard with the Widgets or also on other topics, like menu? Do you have usage the version before 1.9.1, without this problems?
The last version have no changes on the dashboard, only changes for the Menu items, not Submenu items. And also a small change on roles, to get his name for custom roles.

Not quite sure what you mean. I thought their might have been a conflict with the Nav Menu Roles plugin I installed a day or two ago, but I have deleted the plugin, and it had no effect on Adminimize. I reinstalled the plugin again. It appears that halfway through the page of options, the deactivation does not take effect. Deactivating certain options above the page seems to work fine, but when I get halfway through, the options I deactivate do not stay deactivated. The options are cleared out. I’ve never had an issue with this plugin. But it appears the issues appeared after updated it yesterday. It is very important to clear out access to these items on the dashboard for the Author role.

I’ve uninstalled and deleted Adminimize. And reinstalled it. Still, same issue. I can adjust the setting for the first half of the options, and the other half, the options I deactivate are cleared out and do not take any effect.

    Same problem here.

Doesn’t matter what I enable or disable for an Author or an editor.
all items in the menu remain visible since latest update.

I’ve also noticed that the columns for Autohor and editor have switched places..
So I rolled back to a previous version of the plugin, and now everything works properly again.

thsbde, how are you able to roll back to a previous version of the plugin? That might do the trick for me, too. (I’m pretty new at all this.) Thank you for your input.

I still had a local copy of the plugin, version 1.8.6 and copied this over the updated version on my webspace.

But i guess it’s neccesary the current version of the plugin gets fixed.
I’m not too fond about using older versions…

Does anyone have a link to an older version. I’m getting the same issues you guys are getting. Either all left menu items are removed or when I select a few only Posts shows and nothing else.

I’ve been testing it as we speak,
first impression is that your fixed version is working correctly.

Thank you soooo much for fixing!

Testing now. Will let you know if it all works out.

I’m using WP Jobs for people up upload their CV or submit via forms. There are two Dashboard sections, one for Jobs and the other for Resumes.

I’ve turned everything off and then everything shows, when I select from the Menu table ticking off items I don’t need then the issue happens again. Jobs shows but not the child menus and Resumes doesn’t appear at all.

    Unfortunately,
I still have some issues with the menu options (adminbar options work great)
It looks like the menu isn’t corresponding with what is visblie.

    example;
I have multiple custom post types that are added to the menu, also some plugins that are visible in the menu.

I’ve installed “all in one SEO pack”
this adds a new menu button right after “dashboard”
but isn’t visible to an author at all.

When i disable other functions though your plugin,
    it disables the wrong items.
(eg: i disable the “links” item, but it hides the “pages” item)

After unistalling the all in one SEO plugin, I also have to completely reset the adminimize plugin otherwise the menu options still remail visibile within your plugin (even after deleting beforementioned plugin)

So there’s still some problems with the list items the menu consists of.

Before the update, it all worked without problems.
Last known 100% correct working version: Adminimize 1.8.6

I have uploaded the new plugin (thank you so much for working so quickly on this) but I’m still having the same issues.
