I have the plugin network activated. On the main site, I have it set to Active for the Super Admin so it doesn’t block me.

When I set the settings for the main blog and Save, everything works fine when I log in as Site Admin.

But when I go and set the settings for the second blog, the main blog settings change. Some of the elements I chose earlier to hide are now showing.

It seems that when I go from blog to blog to set the settings, it should show me the current settings and not make me Update Options to see what is set for that blog.

I think that is why it’s messing up the settings from previously set blogs. Might be doing it wrong too. Who knows.

I’m seeing that if I just enable to plugin on a subsite, hiding things for Admin role doesn’t seem to be doing anything for the Super Admin. I’m going to dig into the code and see how the admin role check is actually made.

Doesn’t look like the plugin is much tested for multisite at this point.

I take this back. It’s a bit deceptive that being on Adminimize settings page disables all minimizes. This could probably be expressed more visibly with a big CAPITAL LETTERS banner up top, esp. for new users. So to test any result, you need to have another tab open to load another admin page.

I went with another solution that has fine grain control for each subsite. Adminimize just wasn’t cutting it.

    Hi Duke,
Can you share the solution that you’ve found?

    Thanks in advance.

The Adminimize plugin haven’t a function for the network. The current hack is more a hack as a solution. You can activate in the network, but all settings was saved about the network, possibility to save in each site of the network.
The problem is, that WordPress get all data for hide in each site very different. Is it not easy to get all data about the network. In each site it is possible to have different areas, menus etc.
The best way is the activation on network and you use one site in the network with all plugins etc. about the network to have it in the settings of Adminimize and save this on this one site.

PS: I search for a long time for helpers, contributors on development and support on the plugin. The plugin is under GPL, on GitHub and a lot of users will use it. But no users will work on it. That is a problem for me, not enough time to maintain and support it.
