Not Importing CSV

    Hi!

    I am moving the data from one Business Directory Plugin install on a separate domain to a new Business Directory Plugin on another domain.

    I am using the “Business Directory CSV Export” function and downloading the comma separated CSV file to my desktop.

    On the new install, when I try to import the exact same file just exported by Business Directory Plugin, then I get “367 rows imported successfully”, yet when I go to the directory listings it has only imported 1 row of data?

    Is the CSV that is downloaded from one install of BDP not compatible and already in the correct format for use in the next?

    IS there another method of moving the database from one to the other?

    Hi sawebdesigner,

    Sorry you ran into issues here.

    First, let’s confirm what version you’re importing from and to for BD. Both should be the exact same version and they will work best on 3.5.7. Is that what you’re running?

    Second, what version of WP are both sites? Is it the same?

    The CSV export should be 100% compatible with the CSV import for BD, but we’ve never tested it across WP versions and BD versions, so there may be an issue there…

    Both versions EXACTLY the same, it is one of the first things that I checked when I started to run into problems and made sure that both are updated to latest versions. Both run on same WP 3.9.3, also something I checked…
