Not indexing web story & unable to load media

@sharemarketxyz Hi there. It is not unusual to see spikes and declines in traffic. At the same time, Google Search is constantly improving its algorithms, affecting ranking. Linking to / embedding stories from other places on your sites and following the recommendations from the pre-publish checklist is a good way to ensure your users will find your stories.

If you’re not sure whether a change in traffic is caused by a change to your site, use Search Console’s various tools to see if your content is properly crawled and indexed. Please note that questions about search rankings and traffic are generally better suited for Google Search Central, as they go a bit beyond our support offering for the Web Stories WordPress plugin.

Regarding the media issue, when that message displays do your images and videos appear as an empty space in the Editor? It could mean that the Web Stories plugin cannot access them.

Could you open a story in the Editor and check for any browser console errors? To do this in Chrome, right-click, and select Inspect, then switch to the Console tab. Please share a screenshot of the error or copy/paste it here.

Could you share your Site Health information so we can take a closer look at your setup? You can share privately if you prefer.

the error i am getting is

Unable to load media

I dont have any CDN installed on the wordpress but still this error persisits

i have shared the site health through the form

sorry i have forgot to share important detail that accidentally i have deleted my database of website few days back and when i tried to recover it from backup i had many error shown as critical error on wordpress i tried solving it but there was nothing happened so i deleted my whole database and created a new one with new theme and everything as website is for News & media post Do you think this can be a reason for the whole loss of traffic as i can say i used to get 80000 visitors but now its only 100 in a day

i have checked all the search console related issues if any must be there but still i couldnt find any

if you can tell that due to creation of new website there can be loss of traffic?

1) As there can be any number of reasons why your Google traffic dropped suddenly and significantly, Google Search Central Help Community forums will be the best place to get further help and debug cases like this.

Content Delivery Network (CDN) plugins/services used to host your site’s assets require the correct HTTP headers set, otherwise, the connection to CDN-hosted assets will be blocked. You can confirm this issue by opening a story in the Editor and check for any browser console errors. Please check this and share any browser console error messages here.

i will right away delete the FIFU plugin of it causing the error and when i checked the browser console errors it showed error somewhere around 300 and 150 warnings i have included the Error browser console error photo https://imgur.com/a/gat7IAI

the whole error were not being copied so i just took a snap of top page of browser console on above link

i dont believe this i have posted around 50 webstory in last 7 days and literally not even single story has got a single impression or click on any story..

if any more info required ??

@sharemarketxyz Thank you for sharing the console errors. It looks like there are some non https resources being requested, resulting in mixed content console errors. This can result in the notice you’re encountering.

What have you set for the “Home URL” and “Site URL” under Settings -> General?
You can try to use insecure content plugins to resolve these mixed content errors or contact your host if you need assistance.

cant that all the console errors be solved so that web story can rank again..

The mixed content console errors you saw when in the Story editor were occurring because the content was being pulled from other sites that were not HTTPS. It’s possible this was a result of the FIFU plugin you were using as a CDN, and what lead the “Unable to load media” message to display. As mentioned earlier, Content Delivery Network (CDN) plugins/services used to host your site’s assets require the correct HTTP headers set, otherwise, the connection to CDN-hosted assets will be blocked.

As for the drop in traffic, delays in your website`s load time can lead to lower traffic. From checking your site (not specifically a story) at web.dev, there are possible improvements that could be made across the site in general that may reflect in your story performance.

Thanks for the mentione of the FIFU plugin and now I have deactivated the plugin

I am damm sure that delay in site is not the issue of web stories as before installation of new database and theme the speed was the same as today but the web stories used to get ranked that too instantly

And can you please suggest improvement in the site i have to make

Or else do you prefer that i should once again deleted the whole Website and create a new one so that there can be no error
