    Hi Joe,

    Long time no speaky …

I’ve created a number of GPX files using the new MMfA (Memory Map for All) and Waymark refuses to load them.

[Waymark Error] The file extension uploaded is not supported.

After investigation it seems that the MMfA files are missing the first line that is in the old Memory Map files:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

I have contacted Memory Map as it is their responsibility (I think) but is there a workaround I could do in the meantime?

    Cheers,
    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

Nice to hear from you ?? I took a quick look at this and Waymark doesn’t seem to need the XML element you mentioned, not not on my environment at least.

I did recently find a related issue with GPX uploads that may be causing this – Waymark was rejecting GPX files with the MIME type ‘text/plain’. I have just released a fix for this in v0.9.24.

Please let me know if this helps resolve your issue. If not, would you be able to provide a download link to the GPX file in question? I would be happy to investigate further.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

The fix has worked. Thank you.

It might be me/my laptop but it seems a little faster too!

I’ll let you know if I have any further issues.

    Cheers,
    Phil.
