Hi, sadly I haven’t had access to an IE7 system so I wasn’t able to support it for initial release. As of yesterday I’ve gotten ahold of a Windows XP virtual system, so I’m looking into adding support for it.

However, as of this moment I’m unsure what’s not working. Until then, there is little I can do. Sorry about that! Having a look into it when I can.

Yes I can concur – just the loading icon. The rest of the page loads without the slider.

I can’t load my slider in either IE7 or IE8. Just seeing the loading icon. The rest of my page loads fine.

I’ve just uploaded v2.0.1.3, which contains some fixes for the IE7 bugs. Have a look and let me know if it has (or hasn’t worked). Looks good from here anyway! ??

    Hi Matthew,

I updated to v2.0.1.3 but am unfortunately still noticing the same problem in IE7 and IE8. All I see on those browsers is a white box with the black loading circle. Here’s a link to the site in question: link

Is there a way to downgrade back to the version running about a week ago — before the UI upgrades? I do really like the changes you made, but my client needs the slider to work while the IE7 and 8 bugs are being fixed. Thanks so much for all your help!

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the upgrade. Mine seems to be working now!! ??

Hi @haloheathr, you’re issue doesn’t appear to be an Easing Slider “Lite” bug. When looking at the site in IE7, I’m receiving an error caused by some conditional IE7 & 8 code that is running into trouble. I’m not sure if you are using a build tool to create the theme, but it seems related.

    Screenshot of error from IE7 & 8

Code in the page’s source (in the header)

I’m not sure it will make a difference, but for v2.0.1.4 I’ve devised some changes to the image preloader. I’ve reverted to an older method. I’m not sure if this approach will fail due to the error that is occurring, like the code already in-place in v2.0.1.3, but you can give it a try if you like. I’ve uploaded a copy of the beta below.

@ilovebunny, good to hear it is working for you now ??

Thanks Matthew! I will look into that error. Thanks for sending the screen shot (my versions of IE didn’t show the error). I know it was working before the Easing Slider “Lite” upgrade, but looks like I might be able to fix it by researching the PIE.htc issue.

And thanks also for the beta download. I’ll report back if I have success with any of these leads. Thanks again!

Good to hear. Let me know how this goes ??

You can enable IE7 & 8 debugging via the ‘Internet Options’ panel found in the ‘Tools’ menu. Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab and uncheck the options that disable debugging. There are two side-by-side ??

After updating to version 2.1, I am no longer experiencing any issues in IE7 or 8. I didn’t make any other changes, other than updating the plugin to the most recent version. Seems what you did in this recent update fixed it, for me anyway. THANK YOU!!! ??
