Not Loading on first attempt

Good morning.

I’ve been assigned a client who would like to upload documentation per employee, and this plugin seems great! However, upon FIRST loading the page with the document manager, the gear just spins and spins. However, reloading the page makes it come up within a second or so. Curious as to why the first load attempt always fails. This is a blank site with no other plugins installed so I’m not sure what it causing this, but every time without fail, first load just doesn’t happen.

Any ideas?
