I am not using a google API but I entered in all of the coordinates for our three current locations. When I use a nearby zipcode to try and pull up one of the locations nothing pulls up. The only search which provides actual results is when I use an exact zip code or a portion of the address for the three locations – example: one of the zipcodes is 11795 (and Zip Code 11741 is within 50 miles, which is part of my parameters) but it will only pull up the 11795 location if I type in 11795, West Islip, NY, United States, Union Blvd. etc.
Why won’t it locate nearby results for a given zip code – I want users that are not in the EXACT same town to be able to find us.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,
there must be an issue with the Google Maps API key. By the way, your page currently gives the error that there’s no API key at all. Also, after you set up the API key, please also make sure that it’s allowed to use the “JavaScript Geocoding API”, it’s configured in your Google Console control panel.

I was trying to avoid the Google API key altogether because I just could NOT get it to work no matter what I tried, and then I was only going to do a list view. Would I need an API in order to do the proximity search that I am looking to do?

Wanted to follow up – am I able to use this plugin for Store Locator without a Google API if I only use List view and not the map view. I would like people to be able to search for nearby locations and it just LIST the locations.
Without a google api though will it not properly search for the location? I entered in the coordinates perfectly for each location.
