    Hi!

Love your plugin and the function it fills!

Although I have one problem. Which is, if an approved IP-adress access the main page it does not show them as logged in.
I have a menu which appears only to the logged in members and also a log in function that asks people to log in even though thay are already. The only way it works is if they click on a link to another page (https://kontraktshandboken.se/testa-tjansten/) and go there. Here it shows them as logged in. It only works with this one page, none of the other ones I have on the website, and the page it works with is open to all where no login is needed. So weird.

Could you please tell me what is wrong? I think I have tried almost everything. I would like for people that access the website via certain IPs to be automatically logged in so that it shows.

Thank you for all the help in advance!

    Best regards,
    Angelika

    Hi,

Are you using cache for your site ? When a page is rendered from cache PHP is not executed so the IP Based Login (like all other plugins) is not executed hence the login is not performed.

What you can do is create a new page in WordPress (e.g. autologin) and add that page to exception in your cache plugin.

You can set a redirect from IP based Login to redirect the user to a certain page e.g. home page after the login is performed.

Let me know if this workaround works.

    Hi!
    Thank you for replying!
Sorry, since I don’t work full time I have not been able to respond earlier.

However, I still experience the issue. I use the Ultimate member plugin for restricting the site to only logged in users, I do not know if that is cache based maybe?

I have other cache on my website I think but the thing is the IP-login does work if you go to the page I mentioned above. A very non-special and simple page.
Only on all other pages accessable to not logged in users does it not show a person as logged in. Like the frontpage.

I already have a redirect, if you login on the website you are redirected to a homepage that is restricted to only logged in users. Do you mean I should redirect to the autologin page instead? What is the point of the autologin page?

Thank you again for all the help!

    Hi again!

Just looked and noticed I also have the plugin LiteSpeed Cache, if that is what you are refering to?

    Hi,

Can you temporarily disable LiteSpeed Cache plugin and check if auto login works ? Once we know it is the cache plugin we can work on a solution.
