Not migrating ACF fields

    Over the past few weeks i’ve regularly been running into issues where migrating a local development to a staging environment doesn’t migrate across ACF fields. ie, build a site in local by flywheel, then export and import it onto a slightly older version on our cloudways hosting. It’ll migrate across theme files and stuff fine, but no acf fields.

    I will have someone on the team do a QA on ACF plugin.
    Anything stored in the database is transferred over, unless the tables are not prefixed with the correct $wpdb->prefix.
    It is possible that that data is not stored into the database or it is in a specific format that the plugin needs to add support for.

    We were not able to replicate this issue with the free version of ACF.
    Are you by chance using the pro version?

    Hi Yani,

    Thanks for looking into this so promptly! Yes i am using the pro version of acf – not using the JSON saving feature. I’m also using the unlimited extension from ACF.

    If it’d be handy I can setup two staging environments and send you some details that should let you re-create the issue?
