The CDN provider is chosen when it is healthy and has good performance, when only 1 is selected it is usually faster than the others based on the functionality of the service. What this means is if B is faster than A in terms of ping but slow to deliver images, we don’t select it.

When will multi-CDN be active? Technically it is active, it’s only a matter of time for other providers to be chosen to serve areas with slow performance.

However, this should be a support and not a rating, but thank you, we will optimize this so we can get 5 stars from you.

Can you explain what you mean by “not multi CDN” here?

Would you like to share how you tested cdn.statically.io so that you decided it wasn’t a multi-CDN?

The first item in the plugin description is “Multi-CDN (Cloudflare, Fastly, BunnyCDN, Google Cloud, and CloudFront).”

However, when you install it, the only option is to sign up for a Statically account and use the Statically CDN. There is no option to choose another CDN, such Cloudfront, Google Cloud, or Digital Ocean.

So, can you explain how it is multi-CDN?

For your better understanding, I suggest you to check out this page https://statically.io/features/

Well, the Statically CDN is the multi-CDN you are looking for ??

Multi-CDN means that “cdn.statically.io” is distributed using different CDNs geographically and it’s done automatically on our end so users don’t have to do the manual options. It’s for performance and security.

You can check what CDN that Statically points to, using this tool https://dnschecker.org/#CNAME/cdn.statically.io

Please let me know if you have follow-up questions and I’d like to see you pleased enough to leave a 5-star review ??

    Hey @tarkin79,

Since I did not receive a response from you, I want to clarify things so that nothing is missed here.

It’s my fault I can’t provide as informative descriptions as possible.

    Statically is a best-effort service.

The main reason we are using multi-CDN is to make content more accessible for everyone around the world with the fastest possible network and low-latency connections so users can benefit from the technology. All of our services are loaded under one sleek domain, cdn.statically.io. So if you are looking “where is the multi-CDN is”, the answer would be in that domain. It combines CDN providers like Cloudflare, Fastly, bunny.net, Google Cloud CDN, and Amazon Cloudfront into one powerful global network. There is no reason to use only one of the CDN. Combining CDNs allows us to steer traffic and provides the best possible performance for all users, fairly.

This stayed in my mind for a while, kicking me out of the way to provide detailed information on the services I created.

Thank you for your valuable time. And I hope you find the best CDN experience out there.

    Cheers,
    Frans

Thank you for that response. I think that better explains the plugin. I was looking for a plugin where I could use my own CDN account, but that wasn’t clear on the description before.
