NOT one-click checkout!

  • This is not true 1-click checkout. It does generate the order with just one click, but the order is marked as “pending payment”, so the customer then has to go to the My Account area, click on Orders, click on Pay and then go through all the payment steps as normal!

    In actual fact, IMHO, it makes the checkout step more complicated than normal!!

    Hi Peter,
    I understand your point, yet, WooCommerce does not allow in any way to proceed to order payment automatically.
    Payment details, like the PayPal ones, are not stored anywhere in the website for obvious security reasons, so it is impossible to automate this process, unless you use an external service like Stripe, which allows saving card details on the website.
    However, the One-Click plugin allows your users to skip cart and checkout steps and care only about payment, sparing them the trouble to go through all these steps every time the place an order and making the new order creation much quicker

    I see your point. Surely then an option to go directly to the payment page would be beneficial?

    If there’s only one payment option set then it could go straight to the gateway, or if more than one is set then perhaps a popup with the payment options? That would make it as “one-click” as it’s possible to be!
