Not optimizing all images:(

It really can vary greatly. Sometimes our API just doesn’t match the algorithm that pagespeed uses on jpgs.

Thanks for the response! I actually tried one other thing and Google PageSpeed Insights apparently likes it. I took the JPEGs and saved them as standard PNG files.

The error is gone.

There are two others that now appear however:

Losslessly compressing https://www.westminsterav.com/…te/themes/classic/images/slider-dots.png could save 925B (68% reduction).
Losslessly compressing https://www.westminsterav.com/…ssic/images/slider-arrows-horizontal.png could save 897B (67% reduction).

I am still working on fixing the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” error and made some changes. These two images appeared after the changes.

Do you think these are appearing because of when they are loaded by a JavaScript or CSS file – or is there anything else I can do for these two images?

Those files appear to be part of a theme or plugin, so it’s up to them or you to manually compress those. Smush deals with user uploads.
