I think by now, YOAST, if you haven’t got the idea of what I’m explaining here, then something is serious wrong !

I actually paid for Pro version only to find it wouldnt work on my theme.

Only the free version was compatible and they know this as they had login details to my site for further testing, and yet here in this particular thread there is a major issue happening and none of them are doing anything about it.

I contacted their support via my original purchase reciept email telling them about this thread and they refused to listen and said “coz I’m no longer found on the premium list they cannot help me or us about this issue”.

What a stupid response from them I say !

We apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, Yoast SEO content analysis isn’t fully compatible with the Elementor page builder plugin. Yoast SEO plugin is able to detect the content from both text and visual mode of your WordPress native visual editor. In addition, the plugin is also able to detect the content while using the Visual Composer and some other page builder plugins. To get the best results, you’ll need to use the WordPress default visual editor.

While Yoast SEO content analysis isn’t showing you the correct analysis report, this doesn’t mean that search engines won’t be able to parse it. Our content analysis is just to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines crawl and index your site.

If you’d like you can contact the Elementor developers for assistance. So, they can modify their page builder to add compatibility with our plugins. Please, refer to this post to learn more about this: https://kb.yoast.com/article/217-is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder.

    Ok YOAST,

I see you only commented about Elwmentor, but you DID NOT comment on the standard WordPress way of displaying content via the WordPress shortcode, why ?

What I’m hearing is, YOAST isnt designed to understand standard WordPress shortcodes which means we are getting negative information from your results.

Do you think this is a good thing where the worlds most popular plugin YOAST cannot understand simple straight forward general WP shortcodes ?

    Hi Jason,

This is correct. Yoast does not always work with all the shortcodes. We tried to parse all shortcodes and it resulted in unexpected behaviors across a large number of sites. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder/.

We can only suggest that you contact the Elementor developers for assistance. They may be able to add code to force Yoast to scan their modules and shortcodes. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/can-i-add-data-to-the-page-analysis/

Seriously, wish you would STOP REFERRING to Elementor

This is about your plugin simply DOES NOT pick up on the title,

Here are some screen shots to prove it via standard WordPress editor

    image 1: https://prntscr.com/l2ezen

    Image 2: https://prntscr.com/l2ezvh

So there is is, proving there is a bug.

How long is it going to be before you people understand there is a problem.

Do yr own simple 1 minute test and find out for yourselves.

I’m so baffled as to how you could just brush this off when I’m trying to show you a problem !

Although Yoast does not always work with all the shortcodes, we used the suggested code from this link and tested it with Yoast SEO 8.3 and it seemed to work for us. Please check the screenshots here:

If noticed, that link above is the same link in my first message which is what I used, which you never seen in my message, how come that is ? and it is exactly same shortcodes I used in my messages Yes !

I see it works without using ANY page builder, but I’m using a most popular page builder Elementor, and YOAST, isnt reading it.

Q1. Dont you think, YOAST better get with the times as they are changing fast ?

Elementor is now becoming one of the most popular widely use plugins, and you guys have not made anything compatible with it yet.

Q2. What will you all do about being compatible with one of the most popular page builders on the market ?

Q3. at page builders is Yoast compatible with? and why not Elementor ?

There are several questions in this message, I hope to see an answer for all of them

Yoast SEO works with the default WordPress content window. When ANY plugin modifies the content window, we try our best to analyze the content but sometimes the content isn’t available in a format our code can process. In light of that, we create developer-friendly integration methods so other plugin and theme developers—who know their own products better than we do—can integrate with our product.

There are a number of page builders that integrate with our product, including Elementor, but the integration does not reside in our code. If the integration isn’t working, please reach out to Elementor’s team for further assistance with the integration.
