Not possible to display filters in two locations?

  • We’ve got one filter group set up which we’d like to show in two different locations depending on the user’s screen size but whenever we add the second shortcode, the other one will be disabled. We already tried creating another filter group but the filters inside the group still won’t show. Is the only workaround to duplicate all filters?

    Hello,

    You can create two different groups and on group edit page use option Hide this group on to different devices.

    Hi @razyrx – sorry my post might’ve been a bit confusing. We don’t need any assistance in hiding the group/filters on different devices. Our theme can to that anyways and there would also be CSS for that on top of your native option.

    Our issue is that it seems we can’t use the same group or filter shortcode twice on the same page. Only one of the two shoes. Is that intended?

    We’re currently using a workaround where we have two groups set up but even with two groups, if the filters inside the group are already on the page using the other group’s shortcode, the filters won’t show. So we now had to also duplicate all the filters in the group. It’s just a lot of maintenance given that both groups and filters are EXACTLY the same.

    Can you confirm that it’s intended behaviour that the same shortcode can’t be used on the same page twice?

    Hello,

    Yes, you cannot use same filters twice on same page.
    And two groups in our plugin is tell when one or another must be displayed.
    Plugin will remove second group on page load depend on device.
