Thanks for the suggestions. I got a reply from the author of Contact 7 plugin on how to use akismet on some of the fields on the form. Here’s the documentation:

It worked perfectly and blocked the bad bot. Thanks for the tip on the other 2 plugins. I’ll check them out.
