• I’m sure that this has worked in the past, but now when I use the WordPress API to create and publish a post, nothing gets shared.

If I manually create a post, then it works.

    Is this a regression?

  • The issue may relate to the Auto Publish on Creating Posts/Pages/Custom Post Types setting. Please ensure it’s set to Use Metabox Settings to ensure sharing functions correctly for API-created posts.
Please let us know, if the issue persists.

Hi, that setting is definitely turned on. These aren’t custom posts, just regular ones, but it’s all being done through the API to create and publish the posts.

If I look at one of the posts in the back end, the metabox settings show no. Is there a way to change that to yes by default?

    Hi,
If you set “Auto Publish on Creating Posts/Pages/Custom Post Types” to “Use Metabox Settings,” the default will be “Yes” when adding new posts.
To apply this behavior to already published posts, you must also set “Auto Publish on Editing Posts/Pages/Custom Post Types” to “Use Metabox Settings.”
This ensures that SMAP always follows the Metabox settings you have assigned.
