Not ready for production

  • Plugin feels glitchy and unfinished. I don’t like the fact that I HAVE TO accept Venmo and Pay Later – no way to turn those off.

    As long as I can’t control the look and color of the UGLY PayPal buttons, I’ll stick with PayPal standard, where at least the ugliness is all on PayPal, and not my site.

    Don’t care for the undocumented “PayPal Card Processing” payment method that comes along with this plugin. While I LIKE the fact that it presents Credit Card payment as a method SEPARATE from PayPal, paying with this method runs the order through an temporary (and unnecessary) payment status: from PENDING > ON-HOLD > PROCESSING. That short visit to ON HOLD is a deal-killer for me.

    Thanks for the feedback.
    You don’t have to accept any of the alternative payment methods such as Venmo or Pay Later as you can disable each of them through the Disable Funding Sources setting.

    All styling controls for the buttons that PayPal provides are available in the plugin settings.
    And the order status progressions has been improved as well, so that the On-Hold status should no longer be set when the intent is set to capture.
