• tl:dr; don’t use this, better off using your time to find a better plugin…

I used the HTML5 version of this and it worked fine before. My client needed a Site Refresh and i decided to use the one for WordPress as we built a custom theme to suit their needs.

At first it seems very usable and we even bought the Pro Version. However, problems arose when we attempted to upload audio for the plugin. The page would turn white forcing you to close it out with the X in the upper right hand corner, but preventing you from uploading the audio file to the plugin. The easy fix for this is to upload your files, then manually put in the url yourself.

Then the other problem was that the player wouldn’t show up when i put the shortcode in. The jquery, CSS, and Javascript files would show up but the HTML that makes the player wouldn’t. So i asked for help in an email:

I was told there was a conflict with the Jquery, but that can’t be since i’m using a boilerplate to make my theme. So after going back and forth for a while, i just decided to take the old version (HTML5 Jquery audio player) and just write a plugin myself.

I made a mistake in buying the pro version of this plugin, and this will probably be the last time i buy a plugin for a while. Don’t waste your time unless you want a headache.
