Not Receiving any emails through or from wordpress

  • Hello,

    I have a site created on a temporary location (www.pinnacleint.com/new) and I have my E-mail set up as the Admin as well as comment notifications checked off. I also have my contact forms set up (contact form 7) the same way I would usually set them up on all of my other wordpress sites which are working correctly.

    I am not receiving any E-mails from my contact form 7, and I am also not receiving any when I post a test comment.

    I’ve been looking at other forms but most people’s had been working and then stopped, on this site they never were sending.

    Could this have to do with my host? and if how do I word this issue to my host provider so they can assist me?

    Any ideas would be helpful, thanks

    I recommend asking in this plugin’s dedicated support sub-forum for better results so its developers and users can help you with this:

    I am also not receiving any when I post a test comment.

    – commenting as the admin: if you are commenting as the admin you will not receive an email.

    Also:
    – check with your hosting provider if any of their SMTP filtering rules have changed recently.
    – Also ask them if you need to setup SMTP. If you do, then you can use a plugin for it, for example: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/postman-smtp/

    Hi Tara thank you for the fast response. I will make another post for contact form 7 under the correct support forum.

    But adding on to this specific issue about not receiving notifications for comments:
    although this website is having issues with both contact form 7, and comments, my other websites do receive emails from contact form 7, however still none from comments (from people other than admin). I’m assuming it wouldn’t have to do with my host provider since I can still receive from contact form 7.

    I am thinking maybe I have something set up improperly, but i have my email under settings>general. And under users for the admin.

    A side note: I am not receiving any “forgot password” emails either. so basically no emails at all

    One of the key improvements in WordPress 4.3 release was that WordPress no longer emails passwords. Instead, it sends password reset links that expire after 24 hours.
    – Also, ask your hosting provider if any of their SMTP filtering rules have changed recently.

    i did not receive a link though either. but thank you I will E-mail my hosting provider now with that information.
