Not receiving comments

Are you using any spam filtering? What do you see from “comments” on the dashboard?

I don’t know if i am using spam filtering. How can i check that?

Yes. I am using Akismet. I only see the comments that have been posted and approved before I changed to a self-hosted site.

It looks like you’re using the jetpack comments module. I tried to leave a comment and got “You Lose! Good Day Sir!”. If you are using jetpack comments, please see this https://jetpack.com/support/comments/ and follow the link to their troubleshooting page.

okay, I have deactivated the comments module in the jetpack settings.
Will my comments come through as the default wordpress comments dashboard?

The “You Lose! Good Day Sir!” comment isn’t coming from Jetpack, but likely another plugin (perhaps another anti-spam plugin besides Akismet or a security plugin) that is blocking Jetpack Comments from working.

If you know which plugin is adding that, please let me know. I’d greatly appreciate it.

I am also interested in finding where this message is coming from.

We isolated it to the Mojo Marketplace plugin. The developer of that plugin should be releasing an update to remove that message when being used alongside Jetpack Comments.
