Not receiving contact forms email

  • Hi,

    I have installed the Contact Form 7 plugin on my wordpress site. However, when I run a test to see if I get the email forwarded to my inbox…. no luck. When I click “Send” on the contact page, the message reads “sent successfully” but I don’t receive any emails in my inbox. Please help…. been trying to sort this out for weeks! Contacted my Godaddy hosting provider and they say the issue comes from there….. Help please :)!!

    The issue is complex and can have a variety of causes with the same symptom. Sometimes it can be what you put in the form (missing subject, wrong From header). And sometime it can be a problem with your email setup (wrong SMTP server, missing SPF).

    The best way to solve this problem is to have someone with experience inspect the SMTP transcript (the conversation between WordPress and the mail server).

    I have just guessed where’s my problem is … after reading all your documentation and after making a lot of proofs, the problems was due to I created a subject with a dropdown menu.

    I removed it and I added a normal text field like a subject field and I am going on receiving emails whatever email address, as gmail as domain email.
