    Hi,
I have Wordfence on two sites, on the same server with one site a sub-domain. I have noticed recently that my notification e-mails such as for plug-in updates are either late or missing.

I did not notice these problems until until after installing WP 4.3 and had corrected the cron problems that arose. WP 4.3.1 was installed on 15th September.

Today 18 September, I received an e-mail to update a plug in that had been updated on the 13th September for one site, but for the other site no e-mail was ever received.

I checked the e-mail sending on the Wordfence options page and the main site is not sending any e-mails, although showing True after sending. The sub-domain e-mail was received. Is this a hosting server issue?

Yes, it is most likely a hosting issue — if the email test is showing “true,” usually that means that WordPress’s mail setup is at least working, and the message should be in a queue somewhere. Since it also sounds like you got a message days after it was sent, that is usually a mail server issue at the hosting company.

It might also be that the site is on a blacklist, which can cause outbound messages to be treated as spam (and sometimes dropped by mail servers before they get to your spam/junk folder). We have more details about that here:
Emails are no longer being sent from Wordfence
