• Hi, I just finished building my form and have entered everything correctly, but when I test the form the email is not being sent. I’ve read tons of post here related to this problems, but I have no idea how to fix this problem as any of the resolved posts didn’t helped me to understand why the message is not being sent. Can someone shed the light here for me. I get the success message after the form is filled out, and I see the message in the submission area, but not in my inbox ?? I am with Dreamhost, and not Godaddy, as I read some people had trouble with Godaddy and ninja forms. Can someone please help me? I Appreciate it ??

  • Thanks for using Ninja Forms. This is just a server problem. First, contact your host provider about this as there may be a problem with the MX records. If there’s no problem with the MX records, report back and I will have another solution for you.

Thanks for you reply. I contacted dreamhost and they told me that it seems the issue is my form is trying to send from an email address that are not hosted in Dreamhost which is not going to work. Emails that are sent with a from address hosted somewhere else like google will be blocked. I have a very tight deadline and decided no to search further and went with another contact form that works fine so far. Ninja form is great, too bad it didn’t work for me. Thanks anyway.

Ah I see. Well, I was then going to offer another solution that would work. But it seems you found an alternative solution. Best of luck to you then!

I too am having this issue. Whatever solution you could provide would be awesome.

Also, for people who tried to use the form to email me their info, can it be retrieved somewhere?

    Thanks!

Hi @amartinfsl, one solution is to use Mandrill to send your emails and this succeeds 99% of the time. All you need to use is the free wpMandrill plugin and a free account registered on Mandrill’s official website. Once these things are set up, you’ll be using Mandrill’s email transaction service and the emails will be sent and received to any email address without fail 99% of the time.

What do you mean by saying, “…can it be retrieved somewhere?”

Thank you for getting back to me. Ill get that plugin today.

When I said: “Also, for people who tried to use the form to email me their info, can it be retrieved somewhere?” I was referring people who filled out the contact form (in my case they are leads), but I never received an email with their info. Is there anyway to access those transactions somewhere, or are they lost in the abyss for good ?? ?

    Thanks again!

You are welcome! Those emails that were sent that were never received are forever lost in cyberspace. However, despite this fact, you can easily check the form submissions in the backend as they will be still there and you will know who tried to email you!

Ok so today I looked at my “thank you” page. Someone only gets to the thank you page once they have successfully filled out the form which should email me their data as a lead. I got no emails at all. However, I looked at submissions for today. I can see 1 submission. Google analytics shows there are 3 unique page views for the thank you page. This tells me there were two others who filled out the form. Any idea what is going on? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem and is there any way to find out who filled out the forms today?

If you go to the backend of the site and go to the Forms page, you can check the submissions for that particular form and there should be 3 submissions listed.

I am not sure if you are talking about something different. I said in my post from yesterday that I did look at the submissions for the day (I only have 1 form). There was 1 submission yet analytics said there were three unique page views of the thank you page.

Are you talking about something else?

    thanks

If there was only one submission shown in the backend of the site for the plugin page, then there was only one submission. Sometimes, people can try different urls to “crawl” a site. They could have tried https://www.example.com/thank-you.

    Hi,

I have a big problem on my website.
I have a Ninja form and my customers request a quote to me. I have been doing test submits, when I click on Submit button, it change to Processing but sometimes the website doesn’t go to confirmation page and the gaps are blank.

I can submit again and works great, but any customer try again…

Then I go to Submissions in my backend and I only see the submissions that I have seen the confirmation page.

For that reason, I am losing customers!!

    I need a solution!
