    Hi,

    I use WP Mail SMTP with SendGrid, and it works well to send emails from my site, say “example.fr”

    But I do not receive any email sent to my address, [email protected]

    I have purchased my domain with PlanetHoster. My DNS are managed by Cloudfare. My site is hosted by InfinityFree. I have created a DNS MX record, name: sg.example.fr, content: mx.sendgrid.net, and I can send emails with [email protected] as the sender. It works well.

    But if someone emails me at [email protected], it goes nowhere. I have two questions :

    1) Where are these emails supposed to go ?

    2) what do I have to do to retrieve them ?

    Hi @michelb-1,

    Thanks for reaching out & I apologize for the confusion! SendGrid is a third-party email delivery service, and you can only send emails from your authenticated domain using that provider. They don’t provide mailboxes to receive emails.

    If you want to receive emails, you need to set up a mailbox on your web hosting provider’s email platform. Alternatively, you can set up an email platform like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Zoho on your domain.

    You may check with SendLayer support to see whether you can recover those past emails. You can also refer to this guide for more information.

    I managed to fetch these emails to my Gmail inbox.
