• I have searched through the forums and found posts about people fixing issues with not receiving emails. I haven’t had any success yet, but I’m wondering if someone else has experienced this, the recipient email and the source are the same, @ivyed.net, and if that causes any issues that anyone has seen a fix for.

Because the form is fine with multiple tries at other email addresses not connected to the domain.

    thanks

  • I am having this same issue. I think it stopped working after the most recent update.

Same issue. Seems to accept gmail addresses, but not addresses using our domain.

@jeff F, I see that ivyed.net uses Google Apps, and the SPF record is correct for Google. But I bet you aren’t sending mail through Google’s SMTP server as your SPF records requires. Your solution is an SMTP plugin. Try mine: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/postman-smtp/

@postman SMTP, this is terrific because my knowledge of email is so limited. I’ve installed the plugin but can’t get past section 2. The default is pulling up my email as webmaster, which would be fine. But won’t move forward.

Since this is for Contact Form 7 and their default is wordpress@I’m having them set that up in the interest of time to see which works, but I wonder why it’s not moving past that step with a solid gmail address of mine?

If you per chance see this I’d love help, I was planning on donating to your plugin because I appreciated it so much but there’s no button. ??

Sounds like a bug ?? Sounds like a JavaScript conflict with another plugin, and not the first time.

There are other plugins, like NinjaForms for example, that load their JavaScript and CSS for all admin pages, not just their own, which is sloppy and can cause issues like this.

Please start a topic here and I will help you out: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/postman-smtp. Post your Diagnostic Data there so I can see what other plugins/theme you are running.

The default is pulling up my email as webmaster, which would be fine.

Nope, Google will reject that! Enter your @ivyed.net address there.

    Cheers ??

Thanks this is great, but just when I think I know WordPress I have to just be humble and say I don’t know what/how to get you the Diagnostic Data and then I will post on the other thread.

Start the thread and I’ll help you. It’s bad form to diagnose problems with that plugin here.
