• I’ve setup my first form using Caldera and love it. However, it’s not receiving form data to my yahoo or gmail account. My WordPress theme company suggests go with Contact Form 7 and I’m still having the same issue. I much prefer the look, feel, and design of Caldera Forms. Please help me setup my Caldera form so that I can receive at Gmail and Yahoo.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,
This has nothing to do with either plugin sending. The emails are most likely being sent but the IP address of your host may be either greylisted, or simply blocked. This is just a might though.

If at all possible, send using an SMTP plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/caldera-smtp-mailer/ This should help loads with sending issues.

Does this mean, we will not be able to use Caldera Forms to build our form? How exactly does using this Caldera SMTP mailer work?

the SMTP mailer uses your email server to send the emails. Where is by default it the website sends the email. By your website sending the email, it means that an unknown or anonymous server is sending on behalf of the sender. So the receiving server may reject the email since it could be spam or a fraudulent email.

I put together a test form that sends to an email verification system.

download this form then import it into your site. When the editor loads, click the “preview form” link and fill in the test form. you should get an email reply with a report on the sending abilities of your server.
