Not receiving new comment and forgot password emails

    I am not receiving any email notifications of my wordpress website. I use contact form which used to send email to me when it is submitted but now I am not receiving any email.

    Even I tried commenting and forgot password but I am not receiving any email from my wordpress site.

    Earlier it used to work fine but after updating wordpress to 4.9 this is the problem that I am facing and not able to fix after lot of different tries.

  • Could you tell us the website you are referring to or if you are using a specific contact form plugin and it’s latest version?

    As far as I know there hasn’t been a change lately on the way WordPress handles e-mails so it might be a server side issue even.

    You can always try and enabling Debug mode reference at -> https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress#Example_wp-config.php_for_Debugging and check if there’s an error showing up when the form is submitted that might give us a hint.

    Hi, thanks for replying.

    I just fixed the problem on my own. I restarted the Postfix service on my server with this command – sudo service postfix restart
    and all email services on my server started functioning as the way they should.
