    Good day,

    I did the latest up date in December. Thereafter i started experiencing issues with Payfast payment gateway at checkout.

    Previously at checkout, it would automatically redirect customers to payfast to make payment.

    Now it takes customers to the checkout out page, shows the order and only after clicking on the payfast link it will redirect customers to payfast.

    On my other website where i did not do the update, it still works as normal .

    I’m not entirely sure I understand the issue. I checked your website, and everything seems to be functioning as expected. Here’s what I did:

    • Added an item to the cart
    • Viewed the cart and proceeded to checkout
    • Filled in the required details on the checkout page and clicked “Place Order”
    • Was then redirected to Payfast, which appears to be the only available payment option

    Could you clarify how you expected it to work differently?

      PROBLEM

      then it goes to checkout page where you have to click payfast and does not automaticaly direct you to payfast compared to my other website and how the site was prior to update.

      Thank you for your response. However, I’m still unclear about the request. On your site, PayFast is automatically selected since it’s the only available payment option. If you had multiple payment methods, you would need to choose one and then click Place Order, which redirects you to complete the payment.

      The steps you described seem to be working as expected. To better understand what you mean about the problem, could you record your screen using Loom and share the video? That way, we can see exactly what’s happening, as the explanation so far doesn’t indicate any issue.

      @mosesmedh you had the same reply to my issue – also did not understand and was unclear about the issue I was trying to convey – this does not reflect very well – to me is seems as if it is just a stall tactic -on the checkout page – once a customer has completed all the fields necessary and continues to pay – he should be redirected to the payfast gateway and this is not happening.

      I’ve revisited your site and tested the checkout process. Based on @mommaroodle’s explanation, I now have a clearer understanding of the issue.

      Could you share your system status report so I can further analyze your setup? You can find it by navigating to: WooCommerce > Status > Get Report > Copy for Support.

      The page you’re seeing is the Pay Order page, which is typically used for manual orders in WooCommerce. When an admin creates an order from the backend, WooCommerce generates a unique URL for this page so customers can complete their payment. However, this behavior doesn’t seem expected in your case, as I attempted to replicate the issue on my test site but couldn’t.
