    Hi

I’m new to WordPress so still figuring things out. Using 6.1.1 with Rocket.net and Kadence theme. Site still under construction in staging area.

Installed and activated the plug in. Set resizing options to 1600 width x 0 height (also tried with 1600 w and 1600 h) and 70 compression. Hit ‘update options’

Dragged image that is 1020 x 1020 and 144kb into media library. Once uploaded, clicked on image and dimensions and size are same.

Tried deactivating the following plug ins incase of conflict but made no difference: Auto optimize, Folders, WP Fastest Cache.

Can’t work out what I am doing wrong.

    Hi pibap,

Could you please deactivate all plugins except Resize Image After Upload, change your theme to a default one (like Twenty Twenty-Three), and try again?

Let me know the results, please.

    Hi pibap,

I just noticed that you are trying to upload an image that is smaller than the resizing options. Please notice that this plugin does not upscale the images. It simply resizes the images to a smaller size, not bigger. So, if you didn’t make a mistake in your message, the behaviour is normal ??

    Have a good one!

thank you! I think that was my mistake. The images I was uploading were smaller. I didn’t realize the plug-in only reduced the size and could not increase it too. Many thanks.

    You are welcome, pibap ??
