My last thread was NOT resolved. I’ve been planing on upgrading to Premium but if this doesn’t get resolved, I’ll be uninstalling WordFence all together.

Because my last thread clearly wasn’t read correctly, I want to note that this ONLY happens for 2FA users logging in through the DEFAULT WP login page (wp-login.php).

This issue started awhile ago but I’m finally getting around to trying to fix it.

I have WordFence installed as well as Ultimate Member. Also, I’m using 2FA through WordFence.

When I login to my WP install as an admin (only role using 2FA), I get redirected to the Ultimate Member account page. I then have to click on dashboard manually to be taken to my dashboard. Up until a few months ago, it always redirected me to the dashboard automatically.

How would I go about fixing this redirect problem? It only happens for 2FA roles logging in through the DEFAULT WP login page. Any non 2FA role logging into the DEFAULT WP login page gets redirected like normal. I believe this to be an issue with 2FA.

    Thank you,

    -Chris

Hello @chrispwn and thanks for reaching out to us!

Has the 2FA worked in the past and then randomly started causing issues?

I recommend downloading and running the Health Check plugin from the WordPress repository to test for this. It’s a plugin that will allow you to simulate turning off your plugins and changing your theme to a default WordPress theme (such as Twenty Fifteen) – but only to you. Your visitors will continue to see your site normally. The plugin is from www.ads-software.com and you can download it for free from the WP plugin repository:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
Once you’ve deactivated your plugins and themes, try reactivating only Wordfence and see if the problem persists. If the problem has disappeared, and the login page is not redirecting, that confirms that something other than Wordfence is causing the issue. You can then reactivate your theme and plugins within the Health Check plugin one by one, rechecking the problem after each reactivation. Once the problem reoccurs, you’ll know that the plugin or theme you just reactivated is the culprit, and we can go from there with a solution.

If none of these steps resolved your issue, to get a better understanding of what is going on exactly, could you send over a diagnostic report to our email for review?

To send the diagnostic report directly from the Wordfence plugin:
Click on Tools > Diagnostics > Send Report by Email

Make sure to put in wftest @ wordfence . com and your forum username in the text field. Post once you have sent them and we will take a look at them.

    Thanks!
