    Hi,

I like the theme and its simplicity. It includes just what’s needed and that’s great. But I encountered a problem. When a child theme is used the theme isn’t mobile friendly, i.e. widgets and sidebars do not sink at the bottom of the post. Everything will shrink as much as possible, instead of the elements sink below each others on small screen.

It’s quite strange, I placed the functions.php & style.css without any additional code than it’s necessary to call the parent (Quark) theme. And it gets into this problem. If I activate the Quark theme, everything works fine. Switching back to a child theme, brings the problem back.

I’m sure you’ll be able to replicate this if you activate the child theme. Have any idea how to resolve this?
    Thanks!

Can you leave a link to your site please. Quark works fine with child themes. You can view the demo site here, which is using a child-theme and is still completely responsive – https://demo.quarktheme.com/

    Hi Anthony,

I was testing your theme at that time but have moved away to other solution since then. If you do not have other reports about this problem you can certainly close this thread.

    Certainly, thanks for your time.

I’ll mark this as closed as no-one else has ever mentioned an issue like this. Thanks.

    I’ve encountered the same problem.

I can’t easily provide a link because the site is under construction and the directory is password protected.

The header is responsive, but none of the body rows is. I’ll dig into this myself and post a solution if and when I find one.

The header row breakpoints at line 2174 in Quark’s style.css work fine but the breakpoints for all grid classes at line 2199 aren’t being applied.

If I copy the line 2199 block from Quark’s style.css into my child theme’s style.css, the body rows become fully responsive. I can’t see any errors in the stylesheet, but the fix works.

    Tested with Firefox and Chrome.
