Not saving signatures on petition

  • HI. I am having a problem getting a second petition to take signatures.
    My first petition (id = 1) works fine. The signature count, list, everything works. But i created a second one.

    At first, it kept saying the ID is 0 (zero). Then after trying agian, I got it to give me ID 3. However, when i try and add my name and hit sign now, the page refreshes and no signature recorded.

    I looked at the database, and no signatures saved for ID 3, either. Not sure what’s going on here.

    Thanks for the help! I really don’t want to use change.org for this.

    I have tested this at https://speakout.123host.net.au and it works fine for me.

    There are two petitions https://speakout.123host.net.au/speakout-demo/?petition=1 and https://speakout.123host.net.au/speakout-demo/?petition=7

    I have been able to add a signature to both of them. You can test there if you like.
    Let me know if you have any issues.

    However I have discovered a related bug. If you have multiple petitions, at the moment an email address can only be used once over the entire plugin. I am going to update this so the same address can be used on multiple petitions on the same site.

    Ahh…it look like you have switched to change.org after all. Are you still interested in me solving this for you?

    yea…i did. not that i didn’t want to try and help you fix this issue, but my wordpress got hacked on top of everything, so i figure i will offload as much as i can. thanks anyway.
