    Hi Scott,

I noticed in a recent update that the name, email and web address are no longer being remembered and the user has to enter them each time. Is this expected behaviour?

My client doesn’t like it and the site readers are complaining… (site gets around 100 real comments per day).

    Thanks

    Hi rperrett,

That wouldn’t have to do with WP-SpamShield. That would have to do with WordPress itself setting a cookie that stores the user info in the browser, and whether autocomplete is disabled on your forms. WP-SpamShield doesn’t interactive with that process, so it wouldn’t be the source of your issue here. You may have changed some settings on your site, or have another plugin or script that is affecting that.

    You’re welcome. ??

I haven’t checked the WP core changelog specifically for that, but it’s possible that a change was made recently to disable autocomplete on forms as a potential (debatable) security/privacy enhancement.
