Not searching on custom fields

  • I added an additional custom field to my posts:
    Field Name: submitter
    Field Label: Author
    field type is text.

    I updated one of my posts with the custom field…
    Author: Laura Green

    Then I went to my search page and searched on “green” or “laura” and no results show. I can search on the default description and title, but it doesn’t seem to pull in any custom fields.

    Can you send me the following screenshots?
    1. Plugin settings.
    2. ACF field settings.
    3. Post edit page with visible ACF field and value.

    How do I attach screen prints? Can I send them to an email?

    @kallysteh I have received your message. This is probably due to the non-standard order of the items in the database regarding the field values.

    Please try activating Lite Mode in the plugin settings – that should help.

    I activated Lite Mode but it’s still not working. What should I try next?

    @kallysteh Sorry for a long time with no reply. Are you sure that no other plugin or your theme is affecting the post search?
