• I can see most pages in edit mode (view and Text) but others I cannot. What to do? I’m managing this website but am new to WordPress and not a techie…Thanks!

  • If you’re certain that you’ve lost pages, you can go to the database and query all the posts to find your pages. That will tell you precisely how many pages you have in your database.

Also, it IS possible that there are unpublished pages, or pages in the trash that are not showing up on the master list because they’re in a different state than published pages. Check just above your pages column to see if they’re in the trash, or unpublished.

Thanks, but that is not the case – the pages are there on the website with text…. but when I go to wp-admin the pages show up but not the body text (so yes titles, no text)

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
