I am still playing around and am testing my smugmug links. However, I do not get the purchase when I click on a picture. Am I missing something?

As with my follow-ups to other questions of this sort that you have asked in the past, please provide a URL illustrating the issue.

Also, what are the settings in this example; https://aquoid.com/plugins/photonic/smugmug/smugmug-albums/ to get the ken burns effect?

There is no concept of a Ken Burns effect anywhere in the plugin. If you are referring to the simple zoom that happens that is from the settings under Photonic → Settings → Generic Options → Layouts. The options let you enable zoom for each type of a layout – square / circle grids, random justified gallery, masonry and mosaic.

Link to the page is: https://wp.me/P7uoFV-eD and what is strange is the images are not showing up, may be a caching issue but you can see the titles on hover

You have enabled JetPack’s lazy loading and photo optimization. You need to disable those – SmugMug is a CDN by itself so you don’t need any of these features and they conflict with SmugMug / Photonic.

For the buy link make sure you have the social sharing options enabled too, via Photonic → Settings → Lightboxes → Common → Social media integration.

Thanks. How will that affect general images not hosted on smugmug?

I am still seeing JetPack’s CDN all over the place. With JetPack being active you will continue to see blank galleries. Plus, as I mentioned, it defeats the purpose of hosting photos on SmugMug if you are going to copy over those photos to WordPress (that is what JetPack does). At a minimum, if you want to continue using the CDN go ahead, but disable lazy loading. If you want to keep using lazy loading you will have to switch Photonic to a different layout (like a square thumbnail grid). The other layouts require Photonic to get the size of the images, and lazy loading prevents that from working.

Also at this point of time you have a conflicting instance of Fancybox (a much older version of Fancybox, in fact) added by your theme. If there is a separate lightbox coming into play, that might cause issues. Your current settings seem to have the following:

    • Fancybox 1 coming from your theme
    • Fancybox 3 coming from Photonic

If you want to use the older version, you will have to set Photonic’s lightbox to match (Photonic has support for it).

Also, while we are troubleshooting this, can you enable right-clicking on your page? Disabling a right-click doesn’t add any security, but it makes it very difficult to troubleshoot issues on a site.

I have deactivated Jetpack. I am using Image Lightbox. Are you talking about the right click message in SmugMug gallery?

Finally I am able to see a gallery properly!! ??

I looked at an old request that you had opened 2 years back – you hadn’t responded to my questions there. You basically need to enable lightbox linking – you have it disabled from the looks of it. The option is Photonic → Settings → SmugMug → SmugMug settings → Disable lightbox linking – if you have selected that option your “Buy” button will not show. Basically the lightbox linking lets Photonic connect your lightbox to the external SmugMug Website; the “Buy” button comes into the picture after that.

Thank you so much… Sorry for being a pain in the ass ?? Does the clicking on the image always take you to the gallery page on smugmug or can the purchase keep you on my site and have the products show up there?

It will have to take you to SmugMug; SmugMug has no provision to implement a shopping cart via its API, and without such a provision implementation of an e-commerce module for Photonic is almost as big as the rest of Photonic.

Ok thanks… One last thing, I’m not seeing my social. Is that suppose to take the social settings from SmugMug or do you have your own social?

Make sure that this is not selected: Photonic → Settings → Lightboxes → Common → Social media integration. By default social sharing is active in Photonic, but if you select this option, you don’t see the social icons.
