I’ve installed Taxjar and entered the API token (copy paste with no extra spaces or missing characters), yet I do not see tax information being calculated and rendered on the checkout page.

I do see that the tax classes I created *before* installing and activating the plugin still work, yet I don’t see options that include those rates or allow me basically do anything at all like include/exclude taxes for different regions.

    Hi nickynetinv-

The behavior you are describing sounds like you are expecting sales tax to be charged on all orders. However, our plugin allows you to define nexus so that taxes are only calculated in the states you are required to collect.

Make sure your Base Location is set in WooCommerce. Then make sure if you have more states you add them to your TaxJar account. Then if the customer checking out has a shipping address in those states you should see taxes calculated.

Regarding including/excluding from a region our API will handle all the rules around the rates so you don’t have to manage this anymore.

Our team will respond to you through our support channel as well if you have further question. Thank you.

    Thanks for your reply!

The only state we have to collect taxes for is Fl. However we also should be collecting taxes for Canada and for other areas around the world, like Singapore, Australia, and The Netherlands.

With that said, will your plugin support these other regions?

Also, can I change the base address to different offices (a different office in each region I mentioned)?

Or will I have to do a small hack to dynamically switch the base address?

    Hi-

At this time we can only support one non-US address in TaxJar for nexus setup. So you can use Florida and Canada.

Regarding having multiple ship from locations. Our plugin works with the base WooCommerce setup which only allows one base location and we use that as your FROM address, while we can use the addresses on file in TaxJar as additional locations of nexus.

Our SmartCalcs API does support US, Canada, Australia and EU based tax rates but perhaps you will need to make custom changes to the extension to get the full functionality you need at this time.
