Not seeing the option to insert gallery anymore?

    Hello,

    So I have updated to the newest version and now I no longer see the option to insert the gallery or album tag ID. I DO see insert media and on the left if gives you the option to use NextGen but when I select the gallery it just shows everything in the gallery? There used to be an ID post number that would be inserted? I also only see galleries and not albums. I want the page to have all of the galleries display in one album. Can you please help or give me any ideas on what to do? Thanks!

    I also have this same problem! For a temporary fix…

    I found someone’s post that said something about [album id=1], so I just used that shortcode and copied/pasted it into the text box of a new page. I also changed the number to my album’s id, and it worked! My album shows up with all the galleries in it.

    However, I’m still having problems with gallery titles showing up, preview images being correct, and thumbnail sizing working correctly. I have no idea if those problems are related in any way to this problem.

    @hylandgraphics _ I believe you are looking for the shortcode:
    [album id=0 template=extend]

    You could also substitute extend with compact, either way all of your galleries will appear in the post or page you put that shortcode on.

    Is there no more short code insertion tool. You used to have a drop down june that you could choose galleries and albums from? Seems a little silly to have such a useful tool and remove it?

    And album is also unavailable without the premium version correct?

    @hylandgraphics – Albums should be available with the current NextGEN Gallery version (the NextGEN Pro plugin offers more) … this particular album display is one of the very few shortcodes that are easier to use than our ATP interface.

    If you are not seeing any Album selection functionality with your installation please submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with a set of log in credentials for your WordPress installation so we can get a closer look at what might be going on with your site.

    There is albums but when I place the short code onto the page it has a bar above it that tells me to upgrade. Also where is the old drop down feature that you can easily insert albums or galleries. I am not really even seeing this function anymore? Can you point me in the right direction?

    @hylandgraphics – Placing a shortcode onto a page should not trigger any sort of “upgrade” message. Did you submit a Bug Report on your issues?

    You seem to be experiencing something that may be unique to your site.
