Not sending email

  • Hello,

    I just recently installed this plug in and it is not sending emails to the customer once the item has been ordered or refunded. When they pay via paypal either by credit card or paypal it does send a receipt to the customer. The only time a receipt is not sent is when they pay through stripe. I logged onto my stripe dashboard and noticed that under receipts it states:
    No receipts sent — No email address for this payment
    When I know for a fact an email would have been inputted due to it showing up in woocommerece and also that it was a real transaction that I did myself to test.

    Stripe has it’s own receipt email, and WooCommerce has another one. The Stripe receipt is not sent by default because that would be overkill, but it can be enabled. I just tried the latest code and the WooCommerce email sends fine. If you’re still having problems, I’m going need a link to your site.

    I want the customer not to receive receipt emails from stripe. Therefore all checkboxes for mails are unchecked in stripe dashboard. Anyway, customers still receive emails so I guess it’s up to the woocommerce stripe plugin. Where can I find the setting to change that?

    Hello,

    Stripe still does not send emails. I can get woocommerce to send an email for all my needs except for a refund, when it occurs. Currently, when an order occurs in paypal, paypal sends an email and so does woocommerce, which is what I would like to happen. Currently, if the customer orders via stripe they only get the woocommerce email and they do not receive an email at all for a refund. Below is the link to my site:

    I’m not aware of where that setting would be because I’m unable to get the stripe plug in to send emails. I would think the answer to my problem would likely solve yours as well. Please let me know if your problem gets solved.

    Stripe sends email when a parameter receipient_email is passed while creating charge you can find that exact text and try to comment out to see if that works taken from here another plugin thread
